It was an interesting game. I managed to get though it without getting any anxiety but the character still reacts with crying. I think there should be an alternate route if you manage to get out without getting any so that it feels like your correct actions mean something. Additionally, I tried a run to get max and it doesn't allow me to restart the game after getting 100 so you should add the reset thing he mentioned. Very cool though!
It could be nice to make it so that you can't pick a path until the text is done scrolling, I'm not sure how difficult that might be though. You would probably have to time how long it takes for the text to scroll and then add a timer to the choice buttons.
I really enjoy this so far, I think it really captures the feelings of anxiety you can have as a child in unfamiliar places and around people you don't know. Even if it isn't an exact experience I have had I can still relate to it because of similar experiences. I like the anxiety mechanic a lot and I'm excited to see how else it could be utilized + how the art direction of this game will go!
This was sooo cuteee :(( It really reminded me of my own childhood being at weddings and parties where I was too small to even know anyone and the anxiety of it. I agree with the other comment of possibly seeing the anxiety level effect the gameplay. I'm also excited to see the art that comes from this! <3
I really like this idea and its super cute! I love it, Maybe adding a mechanic where you can only do certain options based on how high your Anxiety is. Like if its too high the player can't make rational decisions and if its low they are able to think more clearly and have more options.
